The Colonial Theatre, an art deco movie theatre is for sale in vibrant downtown Belfast, Maine. Built as a single screen cinema in 1912, the movie theater burned down in 1928 but was rebuilt better than ever and has operated continuously ever since. In the more than 109 year history there have been three owners. We are now looking for the fourth.

Three Cinemas In One

The Colonial Theatre has 3 movie screens in the three theatres. The three theatres are named after former movie theatres in Belfast; the Star with 120 seats, City with 120 seats, and the signature Dreamland with 160 seats, a wraparound balcony, and a wide stage with curtain for live performances.

Located on the midcoast of Maine at the head of Penobscot Bay, Belfast is Maine's biggest little city. The Colonial Theatre is in the heart of downtown Belfast, just steps away to the bustling and busy town with many restaurants, shops, and services and steady foot, bicycle, and automobile traffic year round.
